What does it take to become a
volunteer
Fill out an application either online or download an application at
www.hfdvol.org After your application is received, an investigation
and background check will be completed. After the investigation is
complete your application will be submitted for membership. Training
will started after your acceptance into membership. Turnout gear is
free as is the training

Once training begins, your role as a volunteer firefighter can
change depending upon how far you would like to go. The training and
opportunities are endless. After you achieve a certain level,
advance classes are available. There is also free fire fighting
college credit classes available as you advance.
